METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita streams JPJ annual car-registration transaction files and aggregates each registration by calendar year. Rankings are derived from the exact maker/model/fuel/colour fields published in the source.
- Registration transactions are not the same as vehicle sales. State refers to registration office/partner, not number-plate origin.
- The latest calendar year can be partial.
- Source labels are normalized only for display; counts are not estimated.
