Use registration counts to understand what enters the road-registration system, not to infer sales or the active vehicle fleet.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita aggregates JPJ's official monthly registrations_type_fuel series by calendar year using only vehicle-type rows where fuel=all_fuels. This avoids double counting the all-types and fuel-breakdown rows.
- Registration is not the same as a vehicle sale, import or delivery.
- The figures do not represent the number of vehicles with an active road licence.
- The latest year is partial because the source is published monthly; the current dataset runs through August 2026.
