Genting Malaysia Annual Report 2022 ↗
Why not use “pay as % of profit” as the main ratio?

Genting Malaysia recorded losses in 2021 and 2022, so a profit ratio would flip sign and become difficult to interpret. Revenue gives a continuous scale measure; employee benefits add a workforce-cost comparison where the annual report discloses it.

HOW TO READ CEO PAY

One person can have several very different “pay” numbers.

01Company-level first

Company-level total remuneration for the named chief executive, unless a cross-company source defines a different consistent basis.

02Do not double count

Do not mix company-level, group-level and combined multi-company pay in one ranking. Group totals can aggregate remuneration from listed subsidiaries and may double count the same person across entities.

03Coverage is explicit

Confirmed national/highest-paid snapshots currently cover 2017-2020. Recent 2021-2025 figures are exact company disclosures but national ranking is still under review.
