Malaysia is #4/11 in the verified same-year ASEAN subset by manufacturing value added.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita requests World Bank indicator NV.IND.MANF.CD for all 11 ASEAN members and fixes the comparison to 2024. Values are converted to US$ billions. Older observations are not carried forward if a country has no 2024 value.
- Malaysia generated about US$95.0 billion of manufacturing value added in 2024 and ranks #4/11 among ASEAN members returned for the same year.
- All requested ASEAN members returned a 2024 value.
- Manufacturing value added measures domestic value created by manufacturing activity. It is not the same as manufactured exports or approved investment.
