IN BRIEF

PulseKita shows the cumulative reporting effect while keeping risk review and voluntary correction distinct from audit, prosecution and conviction.

METHOD & LIMITATIONS

How the numbers were calculated

PulseKita plots the headline cumulative amounts published by HASiL on 3 February, 27 April and 20 June 2026. These releases describe risk analysis, nudging and subsequent taxpayer reporting; the values must not be interpreted as criminal proceeds, prosecutions or convictions.

  • 3 Feb 2026: HASiL reported RM1.4 billion of previously unreported income detected through e-Invoice review.
  • 27 Apr 2026: 38,906 taxpayers had submitted income-tax returns reporting RM3.5 billion, involving RM760.7 million tax payable after HASiL's nudging approach.
  • 20 Jun 2026: HASiL reported 52,540 taxpayers had come forward to report RM4.07 billion of income.
  • A risk flag, reminder, voluntary correction, tax assessment or payment is not a court conviction.
