  • Malaysia scored 3.6 in the 2023 LPI and ranks #2/8 among participating ASEAN economies.
  • Singapore scored 4.3, Malaysia 3.6 and Thailand 3.5 in the same World Bank edition.
  • Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar and Timor-Leste were not included in the 2023 ASEAN comparison used here.
  • The LPI is a perception- and survey-based logistics-performance index. It should not be treated as a direct measure of port volume, freight volume or logistics cost.
