METHOD & LIMITATIONS

How the numbers were calculated

PulseKita compares only ASEAN members with a verified 2024 value for the World Bank indicator IT.NET.USER.ZS. Myanmar's latest value is 2020 and Timor-Leste's is 2021, so both are excluded instead of carrying old values into a 2024 race.

  • Malaysia is 1/9 in this same-year comparison at 98%.
  • Brunei Darussalam is 96%, Singapore 94% and Thailand 91%.
  • Viet Nam is 84%, Indonesia 73%, Cambodia 68%, the Philippines 67% and Lao PDR 66%.
  • This is Internet use among individuals, not household access, subscriptions or connection speed.
