METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita requests World Bank indicator IT.NET.BBND.P2 for all 11 ASEAN members and fixes the comparison to 2024. The measure counts subscriptions, not unique people or households. Older observations are not carried forward.
- Malaysia records about 13.55 fixed-broadband subscriptions per 100 people in 2024 and ranks #5/10 among ASEAN members returned for the same year.
- Not shown for 2024: Lao PDR.
- This indicator counts fixed broadband subscriptions, not unique users. One household or organisation can represent multiple people.
- It excludes Internet access delivered through mobile-cellular networks, so it should not be interpreted as total broadband access.
