Method & notes
IN BRIEF

The share was especially notable in some rural and agriculture-related training groups, but the source does not tell us whether gig work was temporary, preferred or financially adequate.

METHOD & LIMITATIONS

Gig-economy share among working graduates.

PulseKita uses the gig-economy column in MOHE Table 7.9. The denominator is working graduates in each provider group.

  • MOHE gives Grab, FoodPanda, Lalamove, dropship agents and personal shoppers as examples of gig-economy work.
  • The denominator is working graduates only.
  • Gig work is not automatically good or bad; the table does not provide earnings, hours, benefits or job security.
  • Small provider categories should be interpreted cautiously.
