Method & notes
IN BRIEF

Late, sick and abandoned are distinct KPKT categories and should remain distinct in the data.

METHOD & LIMITATIONS

How the numbers were calculated

PulseKita transcribes selected dated KPKT Task Force media statements. Each frame is a point-in-time snapshot and the three categories are preserved exactly as published rather than collapsed into one problem-project total.

  • 31 Dec 2024: 249 late, 392 sick and 113 abandoned projects.
  • 28 Feb 2025: 230 late, 347 sick and 116 abandoned.
  • 30 Jun 2025: 233 late, 360 sick and 109 abandoned.
  • 30 Apr 2026: 130 late, 302 sick and 100 abandoned; the release explicitly describes the late/sick snapshot as Peninsular Malaysia, so it is not treated as strictly like-for-like with the earlier nationwide frames.
  • A project can move between statuses over time; these frames are stock snapshots, not cohorts.
  • The KPKT/JPN definitions and geographic coverage should be retained when comparing these categories or extending the series.
