The unit series measures recorded project stock, not completed homes or transactions.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita transcribes JPN's Private Housing Projects table from MyKPKT 2020-2024 and plots the published number of units by state and year. The table also contains project and buyer counts, which are stored separately rather than combined into the unit measure.
- 2024 total: 3,108 projects, 577,312 units and 277,855 buyers.
- Selangor recorded 170,005 units in 2024; Wilayah Persekutuan recorded 124,145.
- These are units in the source's recorded private-housing project stock for each year, not housing completions or annual sales.
- Buyer counts, project counts and unit counts answer different questions and should not be divided into conversion rates without understanding the source cohort.
