Method & notes
IN BRIEF

The race shows which broad sectors add the most ringgit value to Malaysia's economy each year.

METHOD & LIMITATIONS

How the numbers were calculated

PulseKita filters DOSM's annual nominal supply-side GDP dataset to absolute current-price values for the five main production sectors, then ranks them by year.

  • GDP contribution is economic value added, not company revenue or government tax revenue.
  • Nominal GDP is measured at current prices, so long-run changes include both real growth and price effects.
  • 2024 and 2025 values may be revised in later DOSM releases.
