Which SBP schools topped the SPM GPS race?

Method & notes
Across the reviewed 2018–2025 SBP snapshots, leadership moved between Sekolah Tun Fatimah, SBP Integrasi Gombak, Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah and Akademi Sains Pendang, while several familiar schools stayed near the top.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita compiles published SBP-level SPM GPS tables for 2018–2025 and normalises recurring school names so their movement can be animated consistently. GPS is a lower-is-better metric. Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia does not publish an official national school ranking, so this story is presented as a reviewed public-result compilation rather than an official KPM league table. MRSM, private schools, state religious schools and ordinary daily schools are intentionally excluded from this race because mixing separate school systems would make the annual comparison less consistent.
- 2018: Sekolah Tun Fatimah led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 1.310.
- 2019: Sekolah Tun Fatimah led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 0.780.
- 2020: SBP Integrasi Gombak led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 1.000.
- 2021: Sekolah Tun Fatimah led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 0.840.
- 2022: SBP Integrasi Gombak led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 1.050.
- 2023: Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 1.073.
- 2024: Akademi Sains Pendang led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 0.380.
- 2025: Akademi Sains Pendang led this reviewed SBP frame with GPS 0.910.
- Lower GPS represents stronger average examination performance.
- The 2023–2025 school tables are public result compilations; KPM has stated that it does not issue a national school ranking.
- This is not an admission ranking, school recommendation or measure of teaching quality beyond the published SPM GPS.
