Method & notes
In the 2009 framework, digital-download thresholds were five times the combined-sales thresholds at both Gold and Platinum levels.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita reproduces the historical July 2009 certification thresholds for combined sales and digital downloads as separate categories. These are certification standards, not equivalent revenue values.
- Combined-sales Gold: 15,000 copies; Platinum: 30,000.
- Digital-download Gold: 75,000 downloads; Platinum: 150,000.
- The different thresholds reflect different certification formats and should not be interpreted as equal-value transactions.
