IN BRIEF

The enforcement categories describe operational activity; they should not be converted into claims about criminal guilt or court outcomes.

METHOD & LIMITATIONS

How the numbers were calculated

PulseKita transcribes the comparative annual totals in JPJ's 7 January 2026 enforcement statement. 'Diambil tindakan' is preserved as JPJ's broad enforcement category and is not relabelled as summonses, charges or convictions. The 2025 inspection figure was published as 1.2 million, so its plotted value is an approximate numeric representation rather than an exact count.

  • JPJ reported 829,392 commercial vehicles inspected in 2024 and a rounded 1.2 million in 2025; PulseKita plots the latter as 1,200,000 for visual comparison but does not treat it as an exact count.
  • Vehicles 'diambil tindakan' rose from 126,974 in 2024 to 240,493 in 2025.
  • Reported seizures rose from 69 to 465.
  • A vehicle being inspected, taken action against or seized is not the same as a court conviction.
