Dalam siri yang disemak, jumlah itu meningkat daripada 16A pada penanda 2002 kepada rekod 21A Azali Azlan bagi SPM 2007. Selepas perubahan gred dan had mata pelajaran, angka A perlu dibaca dalam sistem yang berbeza.

Nama pelajar dan jumlah A disemak daripada laporan media nasional, dengan tahun peperiksaan dibezakan daripada tahun keputusan diumumkan. Senarai ini bukan kedudukan rasmi KPM dan tidak meliputi setiap tahun. Sistem gred A+ diperkenalkan pada 2009 dan had mata pelajaran bermula pada 2010, jadi jumlah A sebelum dan selepas perubahan itu tidak boleh dibandingkan secara terus.
