This view keeps only PM2.5 and PM10, which share the same concentration unit.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita averages the available monthly national PM2.5 and PM10 concentration values within each calendar year. Only particulate pollutants are compared because both use µg/m³; gaseous pollutants reported in ppm are deliberately excluded from this chart.
- This is an average of published monthly concentrations, not a population-weighted exposure estimate.
- Missing monthly observations are excluded from that year's arithmetic mean rather than filled with zero.
- PM2.5 and PM10 are comparable in unit but represent different particle-size fractions.
- PulseKita does not mix CO, NO2, O3 or SO2 into this chart because their source unit is ppm.
