Method & notes
Quarterly unemployment rates show different labour-market conditions across states, but small differences should be read with survey uncertainty in mind.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita uses DOSM's quarterly state Labour Force Survey unemployment rate directly. Each frame ranks the published state rates for the same quarter.
- The Labour Force Survey is sample-based, so small differences between states should not be over-interpreted.
- Unemployment rate is the share of the labour force that is unemployed, not the share of the total population.
- Quarterly state estimates can move more than national estimates because state samples are smaller.
