Method & notes
The split shows where cases are recorded by school level; it does not by itself explain why secondary-school counts are higher.
METHOD & LIMITATIONSHow the numbers were calculated
PulseKita reproduces KPM's school-level SSDM counts from official Parliamentary records. The values are case records, not unique students, and the two school levels are kept separate.
- 2024: 1,992 primary-school cases and 5,689 secondary-school cases, totalling 7,681.
- 2025: 740 primary-school cases and 2,149 secondary-school cases, totalling 2,889.
- The majority of recorded cases in both published years were at secondary-school level.
