Method & notes

IN BRIEF

The counter format is designed for scale: it makes cumulative national change instantly legible on a small social screen.

METHOD & LIMITATIONS

PulseKita sums the all-sexes, all-ages, all-ethnicities totals published by DOSM for every state and federal territory in each available year.

This visual is an aggregation of the state table rather than a separate national-series dataset.
Administrative changes follow the way DOSM publishes each year's state and federal-territory totals.
